The Faithful Centurion

He was a Roman soldier. He commanded a hundred men and answered to Caesar. He had no birthright in Israel, no place in the covenant, no claim on any promise God had made to His people.

And when he stood before Jesus and asked for healing for his servant, he said something that stopped Christ in His tracks: “Just say the word.”

Jesus said He had not seen faith like that in all of Israel. Not from the priests. Not from the disciples. From an outsider — a man with no religious credentials whatsoever.

This piece is a reminder that faith has no prerequisites. It doesn’t matter where you came from, what tribe you belong to, or what your history looks like. If a Roman centurion could move Christ with his faith, so can you. Keep yours.
